There is no cure for HIV but there is effective treatment designed to control the virus.
HIV treatment includes a combination of different drugs each designed to work in a slightly different way to confuse the virus and slow down its reproduction.
HIV treatment is often incompatible with other medications
More than any other drug regimes, those used to manage HIV can be particularly difficult due to initial side effects and some long term ones too. HIV treatment must be taken exactly as and when prescribed or it will not be effective. Some have a very short window of time to take the dose and 95% accuracy has to be maintained to avoid resistance.
