What we do

We provide a safe environment for people affected by and living with HIV/AIDS. Our services are available to anyone who lives in the Dudley or Sandwell areas. We have a wide range of people who use our services. All of our work is governed by rigorous confidentiality and equal opportunity policies.

Who do we work with?

Anyone who is HIV+ and the friends, partners, lovers, carers and families of HIV+ people. We provide HIV/AIDS Awareness training to local statutory and voluntary sector agencies and small groups with limited funding.

History

We have been providing support to people living with HIV since 1982. Originally we were known as the Dudley HIV/AIDS Support (DHASG). For many years we were based in Stourbridge growing from a part-time service consisting of one person and one desk through to our offices at the top of the multi-storey car park it was this that inspired the name Summit House. The organisation changed its name in November 2005 and became a Charitable Company Limited by Guarantee. We also moved to our current location in Martin Hill Street, Dudley.
